Art In Motion is a free multi-sensory event presented by Hewlett-Packard, showcasing performances from Coldcut, Nu-Mark and Berlin-based design collective Pfadfinderei. Touring across the Asia Pacific region Art in Motion is due to hit Sydney's Forum on Thursday 6th December, with a bunch of local supports.

Art in Motion is a HP initiative that provides a platform to engage with examples of how computer technology can deliver an experience that fuses the art of sight, sound and touch, and it’ll be the first time we’re seeing it in Australia.

UK dance and audiovisual heroes Coldcut will be bringing their Sound Mirrors world tour, which goes by the name of Journeys by VJ. Taking the VDJ experience to the next level, they’ll be playing across four decks to cut, dice, layer and mash everything from B-Boy breaks, obscure film references, cartoons, politicians as well as all the prerequisite Ninjatunes classics.

Nu-Mark on the other hand is well known as one of the production geniuses behind hip hop crew Jurassic 5, responsible for around half of the production their entire body of work. As a DJ he’s well known for his innovative plays on sound, dabbling in a whole range of musical styles including soul, funk, hip-hop ands many more.

Berlin-based Pfadfinderei will be making their debut in Sydney, a collective consisting of 8 designers, VJs, artists and typographers, and on local support we’ll see performances from the Sydney-based futuristic hip hop act Apsci, originally hailin from New York City, as well as the award-winning DJ Samrai.
