Considering Melbourne's the graffiti capital of the world and all that, it’s only fitting that we boast some kind of online platform to flaunt our styles... enter NiceProduce.com.
The site was conceived a couple of years ago by two fellas – Karl and Alex - that have a passion “for all things nice”.
Their launch issue spelt out in no uncertain terms what NiceProduce is all about: “Our aim is to bring Melbourne’s kings and queens of art direct to your door with a little bit of sugar on top. We're not going to bullshit you with fancy outlines and insane documentation, we just want to show the best and offer it to you.”
Which is exactly what the site continues to do. A number of Melbourne graf artists and stencil artists - including the likes of Reka, Meggs and Skaffs - have joined forces on the site to sell their wares, organise events and spread the word about Melbourne’s scene to the wider cyber connected world.
With everything from Toys (and I’m not talking about fluffy teddy bears) and books to art work, t-shirts and skateboards - the site is an effective centre point for Melbourne designers to get their weird, whacky and wonderful work out there. With a bit of cold hard cash, you could even buy your very own double chamber “Bong Trexi” by Reka.
Plus, there are some very cool galleries to check out - for all the bums out there who are too lazy to walk down a few Melbourne laneways, look out the odd train window, or go to a gallery.
