Three French animators, collectively known as Bif, joined forces to create this incredibly funny, visually unique short film.

Raymond is the story of a lowly swimming instructor from Duche Sur Mein and his quest - with the help of some fantasy science - to achieve his lifelong dream of swimming with the whales.

The film has been created as a combination of live action and 3D animation. The main 3D element is Raymond’s laboratory re-programming; it's here that Bif’s very unique style of character animation shines through. Raymond is put through his paces – one minute he’s a table top footballer, the next he’s running like Carl Lewis on speed, then he's dancing like a member of the Jackson 5 - all this, before being pushed into the ocean to pursue his dream.

Visually, this film is nothing short of incredible – with a combination of very cool stylisation and photorealism.

Raymond is one of the better shorts I’ve seen in a while.
