This is a simple but stunning short film by director Jamie Rafn. The basic plot is centred around the up and down reality of relationships and the daily mishaps that can either make or break the bond.
We see protagonist, Matt Laroche, reflect on the see-sawing nature of his relationship with his girlfriend (Christina Bialy). What starts as a shared glance across a crowded room at a party, turns into a relationship that flutters over comically familiar territory.
Laroche’s character quickly goes from trying to impress his new girlfriend with candle lit dinners and romantic encounters, to running late for dates, farting in front of the TV, playing video games and coming home blind drunk.
So, love me or love me not? The question is answered unequivocally in the final scene.
A visually beautiful piece accompanied to perfection by the original score by Gordan Halaykievic.
