Megan Gale kicked off her three inch stilettos for good last night as she made her final farewell from the fashion runway at the David Jones winter collection launch.
The 32 year old Perth native has won over a raft of Aussie fans for her apparent girl-next-door charms. She’s avoided the pretentious label attached to most fashion industry clothes pegs by swilling beer at backyard BBQ’s and dating one of Melbourne’s resident funnymen, Andy Lee.
"Discovered" as a teenager in a deportment course, Gale struggled to make much of a mark on the industry until the age of 23, when Italy fell head over heels for the 6ft beauty after she appeared in TV advertisement for Vodafone. David Jones came calling soon after.
For her final runway appearance Gale donned a white flowing Akira Isogawa gown.
However, Gale certainly won't be disappearing into obscurity any time soon. She is set to launch a range of homewares and has landed the plum role of Wonder Woman in George Miller's big-budget superhero flick Justice League of America, which is due to start filming in Sydney in the next few months.
