Australian design duos have a pretty good track record and  Melbourne-based Life with Bird (Alice McCall's sister Bridget and Nicholas Van Messner) has fallen right in line. At its core, the collections are sporty, but edgy details keeping the clothes from being too comfortable. To wit: sweatshirts have plastic and metal bangles wrapped around the arms, leggings are made of metallic fabric, silk dresses have askew pleats, and T-shirts with SHOUT emblazoned across the chest have wings... yes, wings...
