Top US designer Zac Posen, who has made his name in the celebrity fashion ranks, is set to bring a touch of Hollywood flare to Target.

The 28 year old New York fashion star – a favorite of Gwyneth Paltrow and Katherine Heigl – has been announced as the next international big name to create a design discount range for the store.

Posen famously dressed Heigl in a stunning white gown with fishtail hem at the Emmy’s last year. In a slightly bold move, Posen has recreated the look in red for Target at a fraction of the price, $299.99 - making it the most expensive item in the 20 piece limited edition range which starts at $49.99.

Posen’s collection also includes fitted high waisted pants, asymmetrical skirts with matching suit jackets and cocktail dresses with brocade trimming.

Posen is the second international designer to create a range for Target, with Stella McCartney’s line last year attracting record crowds.
