CHEAP MONDAY… Our label of the week.
The Cheap Monday signature skull logo first appeared on the backsides of tight jean wearing Swedes in March 2004. But it wasn’t until recently that the label started to gain momentum in Australia along with the rest of the jean loving world.
The concept for the label was born when four friends identified a gap in the jean market: quality, fashionable jeans for a reasonable price. Hence, the label’s first style ‘Tight’ was born - an unwashed, very tight fitted stretch denim jean for a mind bogglingly decent price.
So, while established labels were flogging their wares for upward of $300, along came Cheap Monday with the latest in hedge cutting street style denims for around 90 bucks a pop.

Thanks to some clever marketing and honest represntation, Cheap Monday has the lucky advantage of being stocked alongside the major designer labels in exclusive fashion outlets throughout the world. The Cheap Monday crew is managing to compete with the high-end street brands both in attitude and quality.
Plus, the Swedes have been expanding their empire in the last few seasons with a hype-worthy collection, which now also includes sneakers. Both in fuzzy felt fabrics, denim and canvas classics As well as a range of true blue tank tops, hoodies, jackest and even some vintage inspired threads - for both boys and girls.

But their jeans are still the highlight. The standard ‘Tight’ fit has a flattering high waist with tapered legs and comes in great stretch fabrics of just about every hue imaginable, including some leather and satin versions for the more daring punters. While the men’s ‘Regular’ cut is a wearable loose fit jean with tapered legs in quality denim washes.
Cheap Monday is stocked in 28 countries and in 1000 stores all over the world, including Australia. Take a trip down to one of Melbourne’s FAT stores, Sydney's Tuchuzy or check them online at Tobi.
