Irene Grishin-Selzer is the ceramic artist behind the label Iggy and Lou Lou. Her hand crafted porcelin jewellery collection, now available world wide, draws on the rich and varied history of the porcelain medium. Using durable porcelain made in Australia (which is based on soft-paste porcelain first produced in Europe in the 18 th century), each piece is fired up to four separate times to achieve the desired effects.

Iggy and Lou-Lou pieces range from rabbits to wolves and skulls to robots. The magical nature of the collection is mixed with just the right amount of Film-Noir style characteristics, making the label very much in vogue.

Established back in 2003, the limited edition collection features porcelain as its medium of choice, a material which gives each piece an old-worldly appeal. The collection is also heavy on sterling silver elements, giving these heirloom style pieces a more modern and edgy feel.

Much like a fairy-tale, the collection features themes of love and loss, pleasure and fear, as well as beauty and death.
