Going against the grain seems to sum up Perks & Mini aka P.A.M’s design methodology. The Melbourne based duo, Misha (perks) and Shuana (mini), are adverse to following trends and tend to mix their collections with a range of accessories and random nuggets of collectable gold – cushions, posters, books, badges and random bits & bobs.

The label was launched in January 2000 and specialised primarily in t-shirts. Now, six years on, P.A.M has evolved into an umbrella brand of avante garde wares.

One of the things I like most about this label is that you can look a little bit edgy while at the same time appearing as though you don’t give a rat’s arse. It’s a fine line but they seem to master it beautifully.

Misha and Shauna also have  their own store/gallery space, Someday, in Curtin House showcasing selections from their own label as well as Bless, Jun Takahashi's Undercover, Mended Veil, Tonite, and Nieves Books amongst other contemporary hand-picked curio-wonders.

P.A.M is stocked in Someday - Level 3 Curtin House, 252 Swanston Street, Melbourne.
