Legend has it that two years ago, three boys came down from Byron Bay to Bondi with nothing but their surfboards, a tiny car, a pair of scissors and fluorescent paint. For a time they surfed sunned and run amuck, until they eventually decided to put colour to cloth and Pete Versus Toby was born.

With their first collection came a positively stupendous flow of fluoro. They were doing Slogan t's before the rest of the herd caught on and they didn't hesitate to wear their philosophy on their sleeve ("gingerbread men make better lovers" apparently).

The 07/08 summer collection includes tie-dye shirts, full colour process printing and a range of Tom Carroll cut board shorts. The boys are keeping it simple, but a little birdy has told us they have something quirky hidden up their sleeves for winter 08.
