This festival has been offering its party-hungry punters the ultimate bush doof experience for more than a decade now, with a resume covering over 30 thumping festivals and more artists than you can poke your glow stick at.
This year suggests a slight change in direction for the organizers, one which broadens the parameters and takes in a few left of centre acts not usually associated with dance festivals.
The most obvious of these is Sigue Sigue Sputnik, the spikey crossover electronic exponents that unleashed Love Missile F1-11 onto the world in 1988. Leader Tony James was a founding member of late 70s punk act Generation X (alongside the much more crap Billy Idol) and still supplies one of the freshest shows in town.
Also lined up are D-Nox, Si Futures, S.U.N Project, ESP, Liquid Soul, Luke Vibert and some old favourites including John 00 Fleming and D.A.V.E the Drummer. By the time the event rolls around, the Earthcore artist line up usually reads like a who’s who of the global electronic dance scene.
The first round of early birds are already sold out (where did the year go??) but you can still pick up an $89 ticket until the end of July when the price starts heading north.
