Pronounced ‘see'-get’, this event is known primarily for its diverse mix of genres.
 
Although R.E.M, Iron Maiden and German ‘punks’ Die Arzte are so far the only confirmed acts for 2008, last year’s event included  Laurent Garnier, Chris Cornell, !!!, Faithless, Gus Gus, Hanoi Rocks, Juliette and the Licks, Napalm Death, NIN, Pink, Plump DJs, Razorlight, The Hives, The Killers, Tool and even Sinead O’Connor.

Sziget has been going since it first blew the budget in 1993 and had to continue, if only to pay the mounting bills. Organisers got the show into the black in 1997 and haven’t looked back since.

The festival lasts 7 days during August and attracts nearly 400,000 revelers, most of them from Germany.
 
Top Tip: If you’re thinking of taking a campervan to the event, get in early. There are a limited number of passes and they sell out very quickly.

Camping Ticket
In advance: EUR 120   
Camping Ticket is valid from 11th August 10:00 a.m. to 18th August 08:00 a.m. A Camping Ticket entitles you to sleep in the camping area in a tent or caravan (for entry with a caravan, you have to buy a Caravan Camping Ticket), and you can use the camping facilities.
 
Non-Camping Ticket
In advance: EUR 100  
Non-Camping Ticket is valid from 13th August 06:00 a.m. to 18th August 08:00 a.m. You are not allowed to sleep in the festival ground and you are also not allowed to use the camping facilities with this ticket.

Daily Tickets
In advance: EUR 32   
Daily Ticket is valid from 02:00 a.m. until 08:00 a.m. on the day after they were purchased. You have to leave the festival ground or buy another daily ticket after the expiration. Camping is only possible if you buy (and wear) two or more daily tickets for consecutive days. For details please check the  Terms of Wristbands Use.

Caravan Camping Ticket for vehicles
In advance: EUR 100  
One Caravan Camping Ticket per vehicle is required. Caravan Camping Ticket is only and exclusively valid with Camping Ticket. If you buy Non-Camping Ticket(s), you will not be able to drive in to area of the Sziget. Only motor homes, caravans, and other vehicles transformed into sleeping places (not including station wagons with bent down back seats) can enter the site of Caravan Camping. Please note that Caravan Camping Tickets are issued in limited quantity only.
