30th Dec 2007 - 1st Jan 2008
The falls festival is 15 this summer and looks set to continue the tradition of getting bigger and better each year.
In 2006, the Victorian leg of the show sold out in under 2 hours, while in Tassie it was a similar story, with all tickets gone within 3.5 hours.
That means if you want to book a spot for this summer’s celebrations you had better get your name added to the subscriber’s list asap, as over 50% of the allocation will once more go to those with above average organizational skills.
To register your details, visit the website at www.fallsfestival.com and select whether you want to be living it large in Lorne, or tearing it up in Tasmania. Both lists will be open until August 20, with first refusal ticket offers going out to subscribers on Monday August 27.
General release tickets will be on sale from September 10, but it’s worth jumping onto these early bird offers, because if you blink you might just miss it.
We’ll be keeping you posted as news comes to hand, including details of the first artist announcement on Monday August 15. But in the meantime, rest up and get ready for what looks like being the biggest festival season in Australian history.
Woo, and indeed, hoo.

26th August 2007.......update
Know you’re going but don’t know which day to arrive? Well, here’s the line up for December 29, the early bird knees up that guarantees a decent site for your tent but also supplies a chunky hangover prior to NYE.
It’s being billed as Saturday Night Fever, with British party-shakers GROOVE ARMADA headlining the night with their mighty 12 piece band. Other additions are as follows:
MAGIC DIRT filthy rock n roll, just the way you like it.
SARAH BLASKO as lovely as a bowl of glazed cherries.
JACKSON JACKSON a bit on the side for Harry and Jan.
Also announced is the return of the Falls Arts Village, featuring enough artists, music, food and festivities to keep your senses tingling until 2008. The Caravan of Love is back with a new show about shoes, Die Rotten Punkte will have you laughing in the face of comedians and the inclusion of Films in the Field ensures you’ve got somewhere to chill out at the movies when you’re so excited you might just pop.
Tickets for December 29 can only be purchased as a package with full festival tickets, adding $20 to the bill if you’re in Tassie and $50 if you’re in Lorne.
