The Darebin Music Fest will once again hit pubs, clubs and cosy hidey-holes all over Darebin showcasing the best in local talent with over 150 events lined up for our listening and viewing pleasure. The Music Feast comes to a head at High Vibes Festiva'sl Magnificent 7th on Sunday 23rd September, where Northcote’s vibing High Street strip is closed for one day of musical festivities.

Northcote Social Club: San Lazaro, Love of Diagrams, Combat Wombat, The Specimens, Miso, The Exploders, The Currency, Counterfeit Gypsies, Darling Downs, Charles Jenkins & The Swedish Cowboys, The Band Who Knew Too Much and more. Get down and get social.
Northcote Town Hall: The iconic Northcote Town Hall celebrates the grand finale of this year’s Darebin Songwriters’ Awards, when 6 hopeful finalists set out to impress this year’s judges, local and renowned singer-songwriters themselves, Kavisha Mazzella, Mick Thomas and Kutcha Edwards.
303: Start the day with the Melbourne Ukelele Kollective and blend your afternoon with King Marong, Jordie Lane, Tzigas, The Benson Campain, Music vs Physics and Buttered Loaf.
North Bazaar: From the ambient to the eclectic, with Touch Typist, Purple Stripes, Rebetiki, Balkan Beasts, L’Australie, Winter Park, Uberlingua, The Band Who Knew Too Much, Sista Selekta & Shaun B.
Melba Speigeltent: Playing host to local heroes of musical humour, including Scott Edgar and The Universe, and local indie darling The Bedroom Philosopher.
Punch: Hairdressing salon by day, rockin’ venue by High Vibes, a stellar line up of locals including Ned Collette Band, Tobias Cummings and the Long Way Home, Kylie Auldist and Lance Ferguson (the Bamboos), Sons of the Ionian Sea (formerly known as Peeping Tom and the mighty Legends of Motorsport).
Wesley Anne: Black Swans of Trespass, The Spoils, Redfish, Commas, Country Trash, Liz Stringer, Symbiosis, Aleks and the Ramps and Des Peres all in this cryptastic house of assembly.
PBS Decibels Stage at Open Studio: See your favourite announcers and programs broadcast live from the streets between 11am and 5pm, including bands The Moonhops, the Strydes, The Sea Bombs and A Destined Belonging. Along with live to air broadcasting of programs Blue Juice, Sunday Sessions, Flight 1067 to Africa, plus live crosses to on-the-ground festival host Lisa Palermo for interviews and musical highlights.
New Greek Quarter: Local Greek traders bring the finest in traditional music, dance and cuisine to this modern take on the old-Greek-quarter, complete with dance floor. Make sure you treat yourself to array of authentic Greek delicacies, with your hanky in tow for any impromptu Zorba dance moves.
New Kids Zone: Three dedicated kids stages will play host to a carnival of activity, including local school and family bands, musical workshops with the Mini Maestros and Indian drumming experts, plus mask and candle making, beading, painting and cup cake decorating, all alongside roving performers.
Jazz on 86: In a move that takes High Vibes into new territory north of Separation Street, enjoy free flowing tunes and a swinging time thanks to Darebin's jazz community.
