Live 08…wants to be your valentine

February is imminent — the month where mankind celebrates the ultimate gift of love. So what are your plans? Whether you have a special someone or flying solo this year, Melbourne is set to celebrate with a provocative and playful expo for all who dare to enter. (Sorry, no kids allowed)

From 7-10 February 2008, the Royal Melbourne Showgrounds will play host to contemporary circus performances from Cirque de Vie; models striking a pose on the fashion runway; rocking bands set to get your blood pumping and much more.

Acclaimed Aussies, the Rogue Traders, headline the main stage opening day and each promises thrilling entertainment. Quest performers include CC Martini, Dirty Laundry, tribute sensation Kisstroyer and up and coming rockers Iris. The latter were in the top 5 bands nominated to support Bon Jovi in Melbourne.

Had all the ingedients to be a great event... think the venue let it down, too much space... too far away... thought the kissing comp was cool, we didn't stay til the end though. How long did they last?

The turnout was really bad. The rogue traders, Iris and Kisstroyer were excellent though, so we had a good time. Previous post, thurs and sun were the much better days! But man the event would have lost so much money!

In a word... disappointing.
Went on the Saturday, it was basically just an expo of sex toys and the like, scheduled performers were nowhere to be seen... after a couple of hours we decided to cut our losses and move on. SHould have been much better!

$77 for a 4 day pass seems pretty good. Was this event on last year?

Have my tickets and can't wait! Iris...yeah they are good. I wanted them to get the Bon Jovi support.
