This Christmas Eve sees the cream of the Aussie live music scene converging on Toff In Town for a night of old fashioned festive frivolity.
Christmas Misfits takes members of 30 bands, shuffles them around like a deck of cards, then invites them into the greatest game of musical chairs the world has ever seen.
Six all-star supergroups will write and rehearse short sets to be played during the night, including a few remixed carols and the odd rock n roll hymn.
Some of the bands involved are;
Little Red, Custom Kings, Hot Little Hands, True Live, Sneaker Trio, Cooking On Three Burners, Blue King Brown, Dynamo, Bamboos, Offcutts, Martin Martini & The Bone Palace Orchestra, Tamara Murphy, Sophie Brous, Patinka Cha Cha, Fulton Girls Club, The Raylenes, Lilith Lane and DJ Declan Kelly.
As well as supporting Melbourne's live music community, this cut n paste party is a chance to see what this fine crop of artists do when they're not travelling around the country in a van eating baked beans.
$25 ticket includes bells, whistles and a glass of Eggnog on arrival.
