Their third hit single "Australia" was left off the run-down on the Breed Obsession tour so they are back again, appropriately titling the next national adventure after the patriotic and wondrous tune. And if last tour is anything to go by, this will be one not to miss.

The same four teens that fronted Gyroscope back in 1997 are present in 2008, having grown together to produce infectious sounds and energetic live sets.

The tour kicks off in QLD on August 5 and concludes October 4 in their home state WA. In between they hit up venues right across the country.

Top-notch bands require first-class openers and Shihad are almost as slick as the headliners. They are on board for most of the tour and the few they miss include replacements of the Angelas Dish and Jebediah calibre.

Not bad at all.

Gyroscope is at the forefront of Australian rock. After witnessing their live sets, it's not difficult to see why.
