Jamie Reynolds, energetic lead singer with The Klaxons, has broken his leg in an unsuccessful stage diving incident, causing the British band to pull out of the upcoming Splendour in the Grass festival.
The accident happened in Angouleme, France when Reynolds leapt from the stage as the band finished their final song.
"The result has left me in hospital until they let me out in an hour's time with a broken tibia (the bone between the knee and the foot) and a three inch plate to hold the break in place," Reynolds wrote on the Klaxons MySpace page.
Moving up from the reserves to take their position is current climbers Hot Chip, whose minimal electro pop has been a favourite at both the Glastonbury and Sonar festivals in Europe.
