Oohlala have been making waves throughout  the Oz music scene after an impressive climb through the Aria Top 20 charts to the number 5 spot with their hit single “Chop The Mutha Down.”

Mixing rockabilly with rhythm n’ blues soul sentiments, Oohlala are gathering momentum with a growing army of fans supporting them on the local level. The newly released four track EP is a solid introduction to the bands raw sound, with a Wolfmother meets Booker T Jones feel. Lead singer Simon Meli's sweet rock n' soul vocals ooze into high octane power ballads which pack a nice punch.

But if you believe the hype, the true rock n’ roll spirit of the Sydneysiders has to be witnessed first hand. The local Sydney punters have jumped on board in an impressive fashion. So far, the boys have played The Pete's Ridge Festival and The Great Escape as well as a number of more intimate spots throughout Sydney. And now, Melbournians will get the chance to put the boys to the test at two upcoming shows at Ding Dong on Saturday June 9th and Sunday 10th.

The four track EP is in stores now.
