
Hundreds of thousands of punters are set to descend on St Kilda this Sunday for one of Australia's largest outdoor street festivals.
For 27 years the St Kilda Fest has been celebrating the cream of Australia's music and arts talent. This year's festival program spans a full 8 days, kicking off on February 2nd and ending with the big one on February 10th.
Yalukit Wilam Ngargee – on Saturday 2nd February is the official Festival opening, in the O’Donnell Gardens. It's a free outdoor Indigenous Festival featuring music, dance and Indigenous culture, and a welcome to everyone to spend the next week in St Kilda.
Live N Local – Kicking off on Sunday 3rd, February and taking you through to Saturday 9th, February. It includes an action packed schedule of outstanding local talent showcased in some of St Kilda’s best venues.
Festival Day – Finally, the mothership lands on Sunday 10th, February! Imagine 300,000 + people, some of the best artists circulating the Oz music scene and a bevy of unique attractions set against the iconic backdrop of Port Phillip Bay. And, it’s all for free! There’ll be dancing, singing, extreme sports, children’s activities... and of course five stages full of live Australian music to explore.
