Here we go again! Soul Jazz takes us on yet another epic journey with, An England Story, this time celebrating 25 years of the MC in the UK from dancehall to hip-hop to grime.
The compilation is kicked off nicely with YT's 'England Story' and includes everyone from Roots Manuva to Tippa Irie, Warrior Queen to the legendary General Levy and Estelle to Papa Levi.
The unique identity of black music in the UK is on display in spectacular fashion - showing the musical path that evolved from the arrival of UK hip-hop, up to today's garage, grime and dupstep. Once again the influence of reggae music and culture is the focus, and again there's no question the Caribbean has left an all pervasive imprint.
The compilation charts the irreversible influence of Jamaican soundsystem culture and accents on English urban dance music, setting the scene aside within the wider scope as a completely unique and highly influential force upon the world.
If you're a fan of UK dancehall, hip-hop, jungle, or grime this compilation will knock your socks off.
Another Soul Jazz essential!
