50 Cent’s brazen promise to quit music if his new album was outsold by Kayne West’s, is another step closer to reality. After the first week of sales, Kanye’s ‘Graduation’ has pipped ‘Fiddy’s’ Curtis by almost 200,000 copies to take the number one chart position on both the UK and US markets.
Of course, 50 cent has already claimed that West’s record company cooked the books to win the contest and that his own label has failed to support him properly.
Kanye, who should be taking the high ground about now, blew it by staging a hissy fit at the VMA awards, which made him look like an even bigger dick than Fiddy.
With any luck it will all go the same way as the Tupac and Biggie fiasco and they’ll both be dead within a year.
