The paparazzi are busy sharpening their claws this week, after Britney Spears announced that she’s considering putting in another performance at the VMA Awards.

You may remember her well publicized fall from grace last year (click here), which caused a media storm around the world and prompted at least one outburst from a disgruntled fan. (Click here).

This time around Spears is nominated for 3 awards, including Best Female Video, Best Pop Video and the coveted Video of the Year backslaps.

But despite the efforts of the show’s producers, there are no plans for her to pash Madonna or Christina Aguilera again this year.
