Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler has come clean about his stay at a swanky LA detox centre.

In May Tyler released a statement claiming he needed to find a ‘safe environment’ to recover from a string of foot operations.

But on Friday he admitted that the surgery had invited its own set of problems, namely a dependency on pain medication and sleeping pills.

“I was off and running and I didn’t like the me that was me” Associated Press reports Tyler as saying.

“To have your feet done, to have your leg done, you have to be on narcotics,”

Not to mention the junk required to be the aging lead singer in a sexually ambiguous rock n roll spandex band.
