A highly potent strain of medical marijuana is being marketed as "Tom Cruise Purple" by licensed cannabis clubs in Northern California.

News reports claim that cannabis clubs are selling vials of the pot emblazoned with Cruise laughing hysterically.

The Scientology poster boy is considering suing over his image being used to promote marijuana, "of all things". Cruise, along with his fellow Scientologist disciples, is staunchly opposed to psychotropic drugs.

The NY daily news.com reports that staff members they contacted at various California clubs were forbidden to discuss any of the herbal varieties in their "inventory".

However, one weed devotee they interviewed had this to say: "I heard it's the kind of pot that makes you hallucinate."
